IIM Shillong admission process 2026
IIM Shillong (IIMS) follows a multi-stage admission process. Candidates must first clear the CAT with an overall percentile of 92.0 or above. Shortlisted candidates are then called for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds held at the campus.
The final selection is based on a composite score that includes CAT score, academic performance (Class 10, 12, and graduation), work experience, WAT performance, and PI performance. Each component carries different weightage depending on the year's admission policy.
IIM Shillong CAT 2026 cutoff — section-wise
In addition to the overall cutoff of 92.0 percentile, IIMS applies sectional cutoffs. Typically, candidates need 80+ percentile in each of VARC, DILR, and QA individually. Meeting only the overall cutoff without sectional minimums leads to automatic disqualification.
